1. In the camel, the humps on its back stores fat for water in it to help it survive and stay hydrated in the desert it lives in.
2. The pollution that we have going on in some bodies of water has affected the fish population because they can only stand so much population until they ultimately die. Bringing other animals from different parts of the world has affected animal population because it's a new link to the food chain/web, so the other animals die from being killed or from starvation since the new animal is eating all the food it used to eat.
3. By introducing new artificial things or new live animals into areas in which they need none of that. By pollution is also a huge way because it makes it harder for organisms to live. Deforestation affect the animals that live in that kind of ecosystem, and anything likewise has the same effect. 4. The whole web would be affected. The consumers of that organism would have to find a replacement onto another organism, so now, the replacing organisms has one more predator going after it. Because of this, that organism can be become endangered since it's a pray to many organisms. 5. It decreases the amount of nutrients the organisms in this environment need. It limits the amount of fish in the area so the food chains/webs that the fish are in is affected. 6. Basically eat up the dead organisms. They get their nutrients by breaking up the dead things they eat. 7. Phytoplankton -> Salmon. The phytoplankton is the producer because it gets its energy from the sun, and the salmon gets its energy from the phyto. 8. Parasitism: Mosquito is the parasite which is being benefitted and the human is the host that's being harmed. 9. Owl- Predator Mouse- Prey 10. 24 11. By seeing how many protons each element presented has. If you do this, you can then identify the element and see which group it's in. 12. Which elements & how many atoms of each element. 13. Chem. Reaction = Precipitate- If there's any solid being formed by the mixture; 2 clears make a cloudy. Energy- Exothermic or endothermic heat being released; change in temperature. Color- Change in the color. Smell- A change in the smell. Bubbles- If bubbles are formed; releasing of gases. Oxidation- Rusting. Combustion- Any burning. 14. No, there's not 2 Oxygens in the product. 15. If an element has 1 or 7 valance electrons they are the most reactive because they can easily loose or gain 1 or more electrons. 16. Chemical- saliva mixing with the food. Physical- Us biting the food. |
